Synopsis of Play

"Malcolm Adams, who plays the title role, brings a ring of truth to the performance from the beginning where he catches little nuances and affectations of the priest. More significant in the performance is how convincingly he makes the journey with the character through his own alcoholic torment and weaknesses."

The Evening Echo Review

"This three-handed play is superbly cast, with Malcolm Adams giving depth and humanity to the character of Fr Mathew. He has an aristocratic air about him, is a great orator and is not without self-perception. He sees himself through the eyes of his trusty sacristan, John (Liam Heffernan) as the ' fop from Tipperary'."

The Irish Examiner Review

"There is a great human charm in the Fr Mathew of Malcolm Adams, a great sadness, a great conviction..."

Mary Leland, Irish Times Review
